K-12 education as it currently exists has fundamentally failed, if students graduate without enough skills, certifications, or real-world experience to earn a mid-to-high income without relying on the traditional college or university route. This system has essentially taken 15 years of a child's life and should produce more than just one route.

 

 The reality is that a college degree no longer guarantees financial security or success especially when coming straight out—the days of automatic high-income earning potential through a degree are gone. While certain professions undeniably require higher education, this should be reserved for fields where expert specialization is needed. For most others, with an educational track to high school, we should equip students with tangible skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and pathways to multiple career options—not leave them dependent on a single, increasingly outdated model.
